The Bachan pariwar has taken all the necessary steps to keep their precious new family member Aaradhya away from the media since the time of her birth. Now, the photos of Aaradhya has hit the net through the efforts made by an Indian English daily.

As per the reports from the officials of the English daily, the exclusive photos of Aishwarya Rai carrying Aaradhya cuddled up closely with her chest. The photos have been snapped at the Nice-Cote d’Azur International airport while Aishwarya was returning to hometown after attending the 65th Cannes International film festival.

As the photos have been taken from a distance, the face of  Aaradhya is not clear. Aaradhya was seen with a pink baby suit, while Aishwarya was seen in a black dress. The security personnel who escorted Aishwarya to her car made sure that the Ash and her baby were not clicked from any angles.

Aaradhya photos have been in demand since the time of her birth. The Bachchans have avoided offers from international magazines and asking for Aaradhya's pictures for around  15 to 20 million dollars. This is the first time that we've got clear pictures of Aaradhya and next on people's mind will be the curiosity to see her face.

Earlier there were a lot of suggestions and rumors were that the child has been named Abhilasha (Abhi-Ash) names combined, but now we hear that officially the name is announced to be Aaradhya Bachchan and a newspaper daily has been reported that the name has been registered two days ago.

There were also reports that the girl baby and the grand daughter of Amitabh Bachchan has been named Abhinandika and Aaliya.

Beti B, now Aaradhya Bachchan was born on the 16th of November 2011. We just hope this name is final as per the reports.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan says his wife Aishwarya Rai is happy playing mother to their three-and-half-month-old daughter and would return to work when she feels like doing so. Meanwhile the actor is keen to work in films inspired by plays by young writers.

"As and when she wants to come back, is completely her decision... as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by - the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing," the 36-year-old said here at the launch of Sorabh Pant's book "The Wednesday Soul".

While most filmmakers may opt for novels to base their films on, Abhishek favours plays penned by young writers.

"I like to read biographies and autobiographies. But there are some wonderful plays out there that a lot of young, Indian talent is writing. I would love to do one of them," said Abhishek.

"I can't decide which one. Like I said, there is a lot of interesting material being written in India, I would love to delve into that resource to come up with a film," he added.

The Bachchan family is yet to announce the name of Beti B.

Abhishek is currently busy working on "Bol Bachchan" and "Chakravyuha". His two sequels - "Dostana 2" and "Dhoom 3" will go on floors soon.

Recently at an event forum, Abhishek Bachchan had revealed to the media that though the Namkaran ceremony is not a big deal and revealing the name of their precious daughter to the outside world is not a problem, however mentioned that he is not willing to post a picture of his baby girl.

Now author Shobhaa De had revealed that Beti B's name could be Abhilasha ( Abhi-Ash)! She had tweeted, “Beti B to be named Abhilasha? That's a stroke of genius. Well done,parents. Abhi and Ash. Truly inspired, if true.”

Though the news is not official, the name seems like an apt choice, combining the parent's name together. Also earlier it was mentioned that their daughter's name is likely to be start in A.

But if we are to go by the latest reports, Aish and Abhishek's Beti B will make her first public appearance at Oprah Winfrey’s chat show Next Chapter.

Oprah Winfrey recently visited India, during her  visit, the talk show host has done interviews of several big personalities from Bollywood and other fields. Reports suggest that the Bachchan family has planned to introduce their Beti B on Oprah's popular show.

It should be recalled here that Oprah Winfrey visited Bachchan's residence in Juhu, just hours after she landed in Mumbai. Later, she spoke to media and described Aishwarya Rai's daughter as 'princess' and 'beautiful'. But she remained very secretive about her visit to their house.

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan's first child seems to be the occassion to be celebrated in a grand manner at the Bachchan parivar. The family of Aishwarya Rai and the Bachchan must be on a high celebration mood now.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was admitted to Seven Hills Hospital in Anderi, Mumbai on Monday night for delivery and she has delivered a girl baby child. The baby was born on Wednesday morning says recent reports.

It’s common knowledge by now that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has signed Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine to be produced by UTV.

The film, which revolves around the life of a film actress, will have the director get back to his realistic filmmaking, post the lighthearted Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji .

However, this project might come to Aishwarya at the cost of losing another film which she was supposed to do with hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

Aishwarya and Abhishek were recently finalized to come together in Rajkumar Santoshi’s rom-com Ladies & Gentleman . “However UTV wants Madhur’s film to start in July”, says an industry insider.

The Bachchans may be busy all the way, but the family sure knows how to value and strengthen their bonding. Of late, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have had little time to spend with each other. It has been quite a long time they had some quality time together for their short anniversary holiday. Then Abhi got busy with the shooting of Abhinay Deo’s ‘Game’ in Greece, while Aishwarya was in India for a stint of ‘Robot’. Then Ash flew to Paris to honor Gustavo Kuerten (retired former World No.1 Brazilian tennis player) for his work with disadvantaged children. She also bonded with Steffi Graf and Mary Pierce at the charity dinner that followed.

So, missing her husband badly, Aishwarya asked her driver to take her to Abhishek as soon as she landed in Mumbai on Thursday. This was for the first time Ash took a liberty to intrude her husband while he was working at the Reliance Web World doing out-of-town press interviews. She not only met him, she also joined impromptu to talk to their fans on radio in Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Both Abhishek and Aishwarya will be seen together in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’, where Abhi plays the character of an abductor named Veera. He is busy with the promotion of the film these days. Recently, he toured the city with six dancers dressed as characters in one of the song from the movie and he greeted fans from an open bus. He also threw goodies like ‘Raavan’ key chains and T-shirts to his fans.

Mani Ratnam snipped Abhishek's hair!

No celebrity stylist was called in to give Abhishek Bachchan a crew cut for his role in Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan. It was the director himself who rolled up his sleeves, wielded scissors and snipped off Abhishek’s lovely locks on the first day of the film’s shoot in Kerala.

Abhishek, it’s being reported, owed a promise to Mani Ratnam since the days he filmed Yuva with him. Back then, Ratnam had wanted Abhishek to sport a crew cut but the actor had stuck with his long hair. He had, however, promised that one day he would allow Ratnam to cut his hair.

That day finally arrived with the beginning of Raavan’s shooting when Mani himself gave the hair cut to Abhishek. But it was more than an impulsive decision on the part of Ratnam. Nor did he want to hold Abhi true to his promise.

According to a source, “Abhi plays a ruffian Beera in the film. Naturally, his hair had to be short, rough, and void of any style.”

Perhaps that’s why Mani himself took the chance of snipping Abhi’s hair.

Finally, Aishwarya Rai can heave a sigh of relief from all the hectic work schedules she’s been juggling for months. Just days after celebrating her third wedding anniversary with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in the US, the stunner is off to Greece for another break.

Why Greece, you ask? Because Abhishek is going to be shooting his next film ‘Game’, an action thriller, in the country.

“Going to Greece for shooting for my new movie GAME! Great co-stars. Looking forward to it. Thankfully my Mrs. has agreed to come along,” Abhishek recently wrote on Twitter.

For the last one year, Aishwarya has been extremely busy shooting for both the Hindi and Tamil versions of Raavan, apart from Shankar’s sci-fi thriller Endhiran and Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy. Her shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish is also all but complete though she still has to shoot a song with Akshay Kumar for ‘Action Replayy’.

From Greece, Ash is expected to fly to Cannes for the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The actress has been a regular face at the fest for years.

Aishwarya well versed in Tamil, having done films like Iruvar and Jeans before. While Abhishek doesnot know a word in Tamil and according to him, he won’t do a film in a language he does not understand.

Though Mani Ratnam wanted Abhishek to do the Tamil version too, Abhishek managed to convince him. So as of now Aishwarya still a part of the project, but Abhishek is no more!

The actress said, “This is the most challenging role of my career. What is unique about Mani is that he draws you in his world through the narration. Ragini is a unique woman and a strong character which I personally can relate to.”

We all know that Abhishek Bachchan plays a negative role in the movie Raavana and his character has shades of one of the greatest mythological villain, Ravan, but the new buzz is that the main inspiration for his role came from the infamous Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy.

As the talented director and a master storyteller Mani Ratnam has a knack for recreating the burning issues of the day in his movies (Roja, Dil Se), he has again tried to do something similar in Raavan. In fact, according to a daily, Mani has even a set of researchers to find out facts about Kobad Ghandy.

As a source tells a daily, “In Raavana, Abhishek plays Veera, a naxalite leader of the downtrodden villagers in eastern Madhya Pradesh. Just like Ghandy’s Communist party India-Maoist is banned, Abhishek’s organisation is also banned in the film.”

Till now, never has a mainstream film touched the issue of naxalism. Mani will try to show it through his version of Ramayana.

The movie is set to hit the theatres on June 18.

Abhishek did seva at Golden Temple

Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood, washed dishes at the Golden Temple in Amritsar as part of his kar seva.

The actor was in Amritsar with his sister Shweta Nanda. They visited three prominent gurdwaras.

“Abhishek did some kar seva by cleaning up the premise, and washing the dishes at the �langar’ (in the Golden Temple). There were two other prominent gurdwaras that they visited,” Amitabh posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com Thursday.

 

The 67-year-old, whose mother Teji Bachhcan belonged to a Sikh family, is happy to see the religious side of his children.

 

“It is always such a joy to see children putting their minds to faith and devotion. Nothing would give me greater joy and nothing I believe could be better than their achievement in belief and prayer,” he added.

 

Abhishek, who visited Amritsar for the shooting of his reality show “Bingo”, also posted a message on his Twitter page saying: “Went to the Golden Temple at 3 in the morning. Did seva for about an hour, then just sat there listening to the kirtan.”

Ace director Mani Ratnam is allegedly upset over the release of his latest big budget extravagance Ravaana. Reportedly, the director had planned to release this bilingual film in May, but the latest we hear is that film will hit screens only on June 18.

Apparently, Big Pictures owns the rights of Abhishek-Aishwarya-Vikram starrer Raavana and Hrithik-Barbara duo's Kites. The latest buzz is that the production house had the option of releasing one of them on May 21 and the other on June 18.

Veteran director Mani Ratnam wanted to release his film on May 21 but the production house has alloted the date to Hrithik's Kites. Reports states that Mani Ratnam is allegedly upset with this development.

Mani Ratnam's big budget bilingual tentatively titled Raavana in Tamil and Raavan in Hindi. Raavana, said to be the modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana, revolves around Raavana, the ruler of Lanka, who kidnapped Sita. The story culminates with Sita supporting Raavana instead of Rama, who suspects her chastity after having spent so much time in Raavana’s custody.

Abhishek Bachchan's film, ‘Crooked' was supposed to star his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But she was out of the film before Abhishek started shooting for it on January 14 due to date issues. However, he isn't upset at all.

According to sources, Abhishek and Ash wanted to work together again but not as a pair. They weren't playing a couple in ‘Crooked'; on the contrary, Ash was to play his enemy. His romantic interest in the film is former Miss India and VJ Sarah Jane Dias.

The film, directed by Abhinay Deo, stars Sarah Jane alongside Shahana Goswami, Gul Panag and Pakistani actress Sonya Jehan, who has replaced Ash.

Ash's role, which was that of a cop trailing global criminals, has gone to Sonya. Sonya debuted with Akbar Khan's ‘Taj Mahal', where she played Mumtaz Mahal and then did Sudhir Mishra's ‘Khoya Khoya Chand' where she played the role of a 1950s actress, which was based on her grandmother Noor Jehan.

Sonya was chosen for her fair skin and light eyes. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed her part in the film. However, he won't reveal her role. He also wants to change the title as ‘Crooked' is only their work title and he doesn't want it to stick.
