Shilpa Shetty denies pregnancy rumours!

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty has taken to Twitter to deny pregnancy rumours, saying that she is "sick and tired" of the media speculation about her personal life.

The 36-year-old actress who is married to NRI businessman Raj Kundhra, has rubbished reports claiming that the couple have already prepared a nursery for their "bundle of joy".

"Sick and tired of all the congratulatory msgs and calls, so for the last time 'I am not pregnant'. All this is so annoying (sic)," the actress wrote on the micro-blogging website.

Shilpa who is the co-owner of the IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, along with her husband of two years, added, "To all my followers 'If how and when I want to make any personal announcement, is entirely my (not the press) prerogative! As of now there's none to make (sic)."

The actress also requested the press to respect her privacy. "I do know I am in the public domain, and everyones curious, but these are sensitive issues, hence wud appreciate the press respects my privacy (sic)," she tweeted.

Shilpa Shetty to set the temperatures soaring with her ‘mujra’

Post her marital bliss with beau Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty’s fans have been missing her dance moves for quite some time now as the actress had kept herself busy with different business ventures. Now that she is back before the cameras as the judge of the dance reality show ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’, her die hard fans will get to see her perform a mujra dance on the grand finale episode of the show.

 

“I am dedicating this performance to Rekhaji and I hope she likes it. I have been practicing really long hours and trying my level best that the performance is rocking,” stated Shilpa adding, “I have no words to express how excited I am to do this act, I only hope that my fans and the audience like the performance.”

The show also has Vaibhavi Merchant and Arshad Warsi as judges and Arshad too has many musical ventures in hand. He will be seen making a cameo appearance in Disney’s musical show ‘Ishaan’.

“Arshad is extremely popular with kids and adults alike. We are very happy to have him on Ishaan. His comic timing along with all the excitement of this particular episode will be a treat this weekend for kids and their families,” Arnab Chaudhuri, director Content and Creative at Walt Disney Television International India, said in a statement.

Sleepless Shilpa Shetty!

After the IPL season, it’s back to work in showbiz for Shilpa Shetty. The Rajasthan Royals owner not only agreed to be the judge of the dance reality show ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’, she reportedly also shot for it for 22 hours at a stretch. It was a technical fault that extended the shoot for many hours, robbing Shilpa of the time for her sleep.

The actress writes on her blog, “Started shooting for ‘Zara Nach Ke Dikha’. Shot for 22 hours at a stretch, there was a technical glitch and had to shoot two episodes as to get the combination dates of all artists again would have been impossible before the cut off....well our lives are not as glamorous as they look!”

And, was giving up her beauty sleep rewarding for her? Well, yes. The actress was moved to tears after watching the participants’ performances.

Shilpa earlier mentioned that she signed for the TV show because it gives her enough time to be with her family.

Sameera gets rid of her sleepwalking

Sameera Reddy can’t stop thanking Shilpa Shetty nowadays. For it was the Shetty girl who suggested her to take a spiritual rejuvenation course at Oneness University in Chennai under the watchful guidance of Amma Bhagwan.

At Shamita Shetty’s birthday on Feb 2, Shilpa and her mom convinced Sameera of the benefits of a crash course at Oneness University when Sam spoke to them about her sleepwalking habit which had tormented her since childhood.

Heeding their advice, Sameera packed her bags and headed off to Chennai for a seven-day course. Now, after a week she has come back a changed woman, brimming with energy.

Most of all, she no longer suffers from somnambulism.

As she puts it, now “I sleep like a baby every night”.

Shilpa Shetty fights global warming

Shilpa Shetty is doing her bit to fight global warming. She has joined hands with Freeplay Energy India, a company that produces hand crank lanterns that generate electricity without using fuel. The actress' foundation will distribute these solar power- generated lamps for free to villages in India.

Buzz up!Shilpa, who is currently in London, says, "The company has a patent technology called Crank. You don't need any kerosene or electricity or natural resources to light up these lamps. One just needs to wind up the crank system manually for one minute and you get 15 minutes of bright light. It's great for villages with no light. This way, we can save on pollution from burning fuels."

The actress has tied up with the company to be her sole suppliers for these lamps, which cost roughly between Rs 1000-1500 each, "I have also incorporated solar power in some lamps which I will be giving out free through my organisation, the Shilpa Shetty Foundation to some villages that don't have electricity.”

“It's been a cause that I feel for, besides it also promotes the cause of fighting global warming — by conserving energy. Since we are giving the lamps for free we are asking people to donate generously. Recently, I have given away my prize winnings from the show 10 Ka Dum show to the SSF. We need to do our bit for society as much as we can."

Shilpa is all set to tie the knot in next year

Shilpa Shetty put her foot down a little too hard this time. While getting out of her car she accidently steeped into an under-construction area and injured her foot very badly.“I didn’t know how terrible the gash was until the blood started pouring out. I had to get fifteen stitches, ” shudders Shilpa still in considerable pain.

A whole song-and-dance sequence for the film The Man had to be apparently cancelled, though Shilpa isn’t making a song-and-dance about her injury.

But a much worse setback now awaits her schedule. Early this week she is supposed to leave for London for a photo-shoot for an international magazine. “But there’s no way I can manage it with that deep wound and the limp, “she wails.

Shilpa is hoping that some effective makeup would hide the wound. As for the limp, “Let’s just say it makes me look sexier, ” says Shilpa who claims she has found the ideal man in Raj Kundra.
The two are all set to make their relationship legal early next year.

Shilpa Shetty has started her new blog ‘Shilpa Channel’ and it was through this blog that her admirers came to know that the sexy long legs that have kept them mesmerized so long had been hurt lately.

Blaming it all to a freak accident, Shilpa said in her blog, “The whole of last week just flew experiencing this near war situation in Mumbai, the place I was born in and unconditionally love. In all this chaos, I completely forgot that I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches, in a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air; I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot!”

However Shilpa does not forget to assure that the mishap will not prevent her from shooting for her new film ‘Desire’ (an Indo-Chinese project), starring her first foreign actor Xia Yu from China.

Shbilpa aptly ends her blog stating that “Moral of the story is - Look before you leap and stay grounded!”

Shilpa Shetty starts her blog too!

Even Shilpa Shetty couldn’t resist the charms of having her own blog to vent her feelings. However, Shilpa has an aversion to the term blog and prefers to call her space as ‘Shilpa Channel’ which would help her to keep in touch with her fans and the media.

Shetty lass decided upon ‘Shilpa Channel’ as the name of her blog since the actress used to playfully refer to her appearance on reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ as the same.

Confirming the reports, Shetty in an interview to a news daily said- “I will be starting my blog in a day or two on my official website - http://www.shilpashettylive.com/. It will be good stuff. You will be proud of me.”

According to Shilpa, it was the Mumbai attack which gave her a push to start her website. “I wanted a channel to vent my anger against what has happened to my city. I should have started this when the Richard Gere controversy reputed.”Never mind Shilpa! Better late than never!
