Now there is talk of Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan doing the lead roles. There is most certainly some kind of mix up here. In fact the grapevine has it that after Ramu signed his protege Vivek for Rakta Charitra, the Bachchans have reportedly been blowing cold with him. Everyone knows there is a bit of awkwardness there.

Titled ‘Kingdom of Dreams’, the play is Akhtar’s own take on the Hindi cinema of 1950s. It will have Vivek playing a rake, swashbuckling prince and Isha Sharvani, she of the jelly-boned acrobatic dances, playing a princess. “I guess I’m a very lucky guy...I get to woo both these ladies,” Vivek is quoted as saying in a media report.

The play will open in May this year at the live-entertainment theatre in Gurgaon, just an hour’s drive away from Delhi. Vivek is already learnt to be in Delhi to begin rehearsals of the play with Isha and Gauhar.

"I am very excited about the film because it has something that I have never done before. I am the solo hero, so it is very important for me. I hope it would give a positive turn to my career," Vivek told reporters after the music launch of "Prince" here Sunday.

Asked if he is seeing someone in real life, he said: "I am a very romantic person. I am waiting and hoping someday I will also get someone special in my life. You never know someday I may find her in a crowd like this. I hope to find someone simple, someone lovely, someone who steals my heart."

Vivek's last film as solo hero was 2005 movie "Kisna - The Warrior Poet".

Debutant director Kookie Gulati's "Prince" is about one of the savviest thieves in the world who commits the biggest heist of his life. Vivek has teamed up with Nandana Sen, Neeru Bajwa and Sanjay Kapoor in the film.

Vivek Oberoi is continuously making fool of himself

We can’t understand why Vivek Oberoi is continuously making fool of himself. First, he got into an infamous spat with Salman Khan for his alleged girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and then he commented badly about his ex-flame Ash and now he has again fooled himself by landing at Shahrukh Khan’s party at ‘Mannat’ uninvited.

After Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash, Shahrukh invited some of his close friends to Mannat to continue the party. But unexpectedly, Vivek Oberoi arrived with his yellow bike and spoiled the party mood. He took the dance floor on fire but nobody joined him and he was given a neglected look.

“He landed up uninvited at the party and this really annoyed the other guests. Gauri Khan (SRK’s wife) was overheard telling guests, ‘Who the hell has invited him,’ and even told Shah Rukh to ‘throw the jerk out’. But the couple did not do so out of politeness. He was making a complete fool of himself. No one was making conversation with him. Even the Bachchans, Abhishek and Aishwarya, kept their distance. In fact, when the actor decided to leave the party, he couldn’t start his bike and had to leave it at Mannat,” said a source.

Later, disgusted Vivek left the party.

Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi keep digging up Ash past

Aishwarya Rai is tired of the past that Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi keep digging up. The actress, who is married now, wants to forget her relationships with them, move on and stay happy with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan. But the two gentlemen don’t seem to want to let go so easily.

In a talk show recently, Vivek said that the press conference he had held against Salman Khan was to impress Aishwarya, who Vivek was then dating. Also, Salman has said a lot of bad things about her in recent interviews and press meets. While Aishwarya hasn’t made any remarks over this, a close friend of the Bachchan family has called this behavior of the two men rather ungentlemanly. The friend also adds that when Vivek held the conference, Aishwarya didn’t know anything about it and was horrified. He should take responsibility of his actions and not keep blaming her for everything. The friend feels that the two should just leave her alone, now that she has married and settled. And Salman’s reason for constantly talking about her is that the media keeps asking him about her. Aishwarya’s friend retorted angrily saying that while the media does ask questions, it is up to him to choose whether to answer them or not.

Aishwarya is currently in Goa, shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish and also for Mani Ratnam’s Raavana. She was also, apparently, very disturbed over this while on the sets of Guzaarish and was in tears.
