Barbara Mori wants to work with Shahrukh Khan

Jostled violently by crowds, she got hurt in the knees and one of her toe nails was ripped off, but ‘Kites’ star Barbara Mori isn’t willing to give up on Bollywood and now wants to do a film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

“I would love to do more Bollywood films. I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan,” Barbara told reporters when asked which actor was on her wishlist after romancing Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan in ‘Kites’.

Accompanied by Hrithik and producer-director Rakesh Roshan, the Mexican actress was at the Great India Place Mall in Noida for the post-release promotion of ‘Kites’.

There was plenty of hooting and whistling as soon as the cast of ‘Kites’ arrived at the mall on the outskirts of Delhi. But this soon gave way to mayhem when fans went berserk trying to get a glimpse of their favourite stars.

“The crowd was unmanageable and everyone was pushing each other and Barbara was hurt. Her knee was scratched and one of her toe nails was ripped off,” said one of the organisers at the event.

Hrithik was left fuming after the security was breached.

‘Kites’ grossed over Rs.21 crore on its opening day and has become the second highest opening-day grosser after ‘3 Idiots’. The film has also caught the fancy of the American media, making it perhaps the most reviewed Bollywood film on opening day.

Barbara Mori goes topless!

With the promos of Hrithik-Barbara starrer ‘Kites’ finally out, one finds a clear difference between the Indian and the English version (read US) of the film.

While the Indian version shows a modest flirting scene between the lead pair, the English version airs a topless Barbara, sharing a passionate lip lock with Hrithik Roshan.

 

It is believed that the Hindi version is made while keeping in mind the local sensibilities while the English version of ‘Kites’, which is edited by Bret Ratner is only ninety minutes longer in comparison to the one-thirty minutes long original version of ‘Kites’, releasing worldwide on 21st May.

 

Talking to a news daily about the US version and Bret Ratner, a close Hollywood trade analyst said, "Ratner`s reputation couldn`t be anything further from the Bollywood norm. He`s known for movies full of fast cars, fast women, and big explosions. Subtlety isn`t his thing. ‘Kites’ hits theatres thanks to Brett Ratner."

 

However, when contacted Rakesh Roshan, the ‘Kites’ director blankly denied any such reports and firmly said, "The promos for both the international and Indian audiences are same and the kiss is in both. As far as the topless scene (of Barbara Mori) is concerned, it`s not true. I don`t make such films. For the Hollywood version, they wanted only 90 minutes so we removed all the five songs that are there in the Indian version of ‘Kites.’ "

Hrithik Roshan turned singer for his papa’s production ‘Kites’!

A good singer and a terrific dancer, Hrithik Roshan now has his finger in another pie. He’s turned singer for his papa’s production Kites in which he pairs up with Mexican hottie Barbara Mori.

From what we learn, the film’s director Anurag Basu heard Hrithik singing in a jam session after dinner one evening. Convinced that Hrithik would be able to croon a song, Basu prodded him to record a number for the film.

Reluctantly and nervously, Hrithik agreed and sang the song ‘Kites in the sky’. The track is composed by Hrithik’s uncle Rajesh Roshan.

“I was nervous to make my debut as a singer considering I come from a family that is well known in the world of music, but for this very reason my chacha (Rajesh Roshan) and Anurag were most certain that I could sing,” Hrithik said in a statement to the media.

The film’s music will be launched on 40 TV channels simultaneously as part of a roadblock marketing with the airing of the song ‘Kites In the sky’ on March 29 at 9.30 pm.

Hrithik-Barbara hot scenes sexed down

Too hot for bhartiya janata! Well, that’s what the producer Rakesh Roshan and editor Brett Ratner think of the hot scenes between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in Kites.

In a clip of the film leaked online, Hrithik and Barbara are shown getting too cozy and locking the lips in a passionate smooch. There’s also ample skin show by the Mexican hottie.

However, we hear that all these steamy scenes have come under the editor’s scissors and the Hindi version of ‘Kites’ will have them toned down to a considerable degree, keeping in mind the sensibilities of Indian cinegoers. But the movie’s English version would have them.

Why this bias?

Rakesh Roshan says he’s always known to produce films for the family audiences. Therefore, he’s ensuring that there are no lovemaking or intimate scenes in the final print of the film’s Hindi version when it releases in May this year.

Suzanne bonds with Hrithik’s girlfriend

Well, the person who gave Suzanne Khan sleepless nights and created a hole in her paradise has rubbed her name from the bad books of Suzanne. Hrithik Roshan’s wife bonds with his alleged girlfriend Barbara Mori like never before. Hrithik has welcomed his wife to twitter and now Suzanne has been sending lovely messages to Barbara and the Kites actress too responded back with some good notes.

The Mexican beauty wrote,  "Hellow Beautiful!!! Welcome to Twitter." Sussanne was quick to reply and posted : "Hey sending you a big hug from India and all my follower My beautiful friend who is coming back to India in May... she is faaaaaabbbbb in Kites."

Barbara replied “Hey Baby! I can't wait to go India¦ I'm very excited¦ We will travel all over the world together. (It) is going to be so much fun." Hrithik who has been in Twitter for quite some time now had welcomed Sussanne writing "Friends, welcome my wife, my friend, my lover, the coolest, the purest, the exotic SUSSANNE to twitterland !! Give LOVE tweeple!!!"

Well, we are wondering what’s going wrong with Suzanne.

Barbara Mori at a loss without Hrithik Roshan

Barbara Mori would have been at a loss during the shooting of Kites had Hrithik Roshan not been around.
On the sets of a movie that tells a love story beyond linguistic and cultural barriers, it was language that bonded Hrithik and Barbara more than anything. But how? You ask! She speaks Mexican Spanish and knows only tooti footi English. He knows English well, but is a greenhorn at Spanish. How could language possibly bind them?
Well, the answer lies with director Anurag Basu who speaks English so rapidly that during the shoots when he explained the scenes to Barbara in English she would not only fail to understand what he said, but would ask him to explain the scene again “in English”. Needless to say, Anurag gave up after some tries and Hrithik had to come to rescue.


The interesting thing is, Barbara understood Hrithik’s English clearly. So every time Anurag explained a scene to Barbara, she, having understood little, if not nothing, would turn to Hrithik for explanation. And he, like a well-bred gentleman gifted with eloquence, would explain the scene to Barbara.
Anurag Basu says instead of explaining the scene again and again to Barbara, he left the job to Hrithik.
And it goes without saying that this role as an interpreter really helped build a rapport between Hrithik and Barbara. Had it not been for him, the Mexican hottie would surely have been at a loss, trying to decipher Anurag’s English.
