Sameera Reddy’s in a de-glam avatar!

Sameera Reddy’s career has been facing a slow down since a couple of years. Lately, the hot siren has signed a project with Nagesh Kukunoor titled ‘Yeh Honsla’ in which she will be seen in a de-glam avatar.

She will portray the role of a Rajasthani village belle in this one without makeup and with a ghoonghat. Talking about her character in the film, Sameera says, “I’m looking forward to Yeh Honsla. Of all the roles that I’ve ever done, Nagesh Kukunoor’s film is ‘it’. It’s where I’ve done my best. I’m a Rajasthani girl, who takes on all the Panchayats. She’s a very strong girl – her name is Rani, and it’s this woman’s story.”

About her de-glam look, she adds, “It’s like you’re bare – you have nothing to work with except your character – and the focus is just on your emotions. Being glamorous is actually much easier!”

Sameera was also seen in a new makeover in her previous film ‘Red Alert’ where she played a tribal woman-cum-Naxalite.

Sameera had won the hearts of millions with her oomph. How much she is admired in her de-glam look, is to be waited and watched.

Aishwarya Rai broken the record of Kareena

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have chosen to take it easy post her marriage, but a recent development in her career has made all those speechless who feel that the beautiful actress’ career is no longer on an upswing. She has broken the record of Kareena Kapoor with her whopping ten crores contract for her latest film. Earlier, this honor was with Kareena Kapoor with a figure of seven crores.

The film is to be produced Bobby Pushkarna, of the critically acclaimed film ‘Page 3′. Pushkarna was keen on cast Ash only and was determined to shelve the project if the lady did not give an affirmative nod. Finally, after a three-month long chase, Pushkarna was able to persuade her to do his film.

The deal has not yet been finalized in pen and paper but both the parties seem positive.

Katrina Kaif learns Bhojpuri

Guess Katrina Kaif's diction woes have finally rested. People around her claim vociferously that now she not only speaks in fluent Hindi (hopefully...let Raajneeti release!), but also Bhojpuri! Recently, she stunned the natives of Patna when she called out to them ‘Ka Haal Ba, Patna'! Hmm...accentuated vernacular language! Good going Kat!

Filmmaker Prakash Jha launched TV channel Morya last week with a lot of glitz and glamour. His Raajneeti actors, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai and Katrina Kaif, were present for the launch in Patna along with Bhojpuri stars Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari. Jha requested Katrina to speak in Bhojpuri, the local language. A source said that considering that Katrina speaks Hindi with difficulty; she had goose bumps when she was asked to speak in Bhojpuri. However, Jha gave her three tutors - Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Manoj Bajpai - all of whom can speak the language with great ease. Katrina was willing to learn. However, they could manage to teach her only one line, as it was difficult for her to understand. Waah! Mere tall claims, we must say! God how much people can fuss about literally nothing!

However, instead of saying ‘haal ba', she kept on repeating ‘halba', which sounded like ‘halwa'. Bajpai and Ravi Kishan burst out laughing at this and kept pulling her leg. That's when we explained to her the difference between halwa, a sweet and ‘haal ba', meaning how are you. Although Katrina took time to learn the line, she repeated it quite confidently on the dais. The crowd went berserk on hearing her. In fact, everyone was impressed with Katrina's determination and persistence. No wonder (pun intended!)!

Adnan Sami finally gets married!

Since their wide-eyed dream of getting married amidst a lot of hullaballoo fell through, they said the vows in a secret nikah. We are talking about Adnan Sami and his German-Afghan girl friend Roya Faryabi. The couple had a secret nikaah ceremony at Adnan's residence in Mumbai on Friday, January 30, a day before the wedding cards announced the wedding in Munich.
Only close family members of Adnan were present at this nikaah. A source close to Adnan said that the wedding in Munich had to be cancelled because the courts did not allow Adnan to leave the country. There are serious charges of domestic violence against him. Rather than cancelling the wedding, Adnan decided to have a flash ceremony in Mumbai. Adnan's son Azaan made all the arrangements. At first Adnan was reluctant to confirm the development, but finally admitted that they got married last Friday in a secret nikaah. And they're loving it.

Speaking from Munich, Adnan's third wife Roya Faryadi said that Adnan is the perfect man for her. She loves not just the man but also his mother and son. In fact, Adnan's son Azaan and she get along like a house on fire. They often gang up together and tease the hell out of Adnan. Roya said that she is not the least perturbed by Adnan's past record of broken marriages. She opined that what happened in the past is the past. What she sees is a man she'd like to spend her life with. Adnan is kind, caring and gentle. She hopes they can make their marriage last forever. Like any good wife, she plans to shift to Mumbai to be with Adnan and his family. But she'll keep visiting Germany. That's where her parents stay. Roya's parents are from Afghanistan. They moved to Germany 30 years ago and hold German passports.
