Apparently Celina Jaitley could have been one of the victims of the terrible Mumbai terrorist attacks. But her instinct kind of came to her rescue.

She’s reportedly said, "It’s incredible. I felt I shouldn’t be going all the way to south Mumbai. On the way, I changed the venue."

She goes on to inform, "Barely an hour after I reached Four Seasons, the first news about what was going on in the city began filtering in. And to think that I could have been there too! I don’t even want to think about it."

Looks like going with her instinct helped the actress.She adds, "There was panic as news spread that five-star hotels were being targeted. We really didn’t know what was going on and where. All the diners at Four Seasons were told to stay put and the area around the hotel was cordoned off."

She further reveals, "But I was glued to the TV all night. I couldn’t sleep a wink. My dad was in a state of panic and kept on calling from Lebanon wondering what was happening to all of us! Throughout our ordeal, I was continuously in touch with my family and friends."

Aishwarya Rai's dates have become a big issue

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s dates have become a big issue.

She and her husband Abhishek Bachchan had cancelled their shooting for Mani Ratnam’s film ’Raavan’ owing to the illness of megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his birthday, last month. The shooting of the film had to be completely rescheduled.

But the juggling act of the busy actress is now making things a little difficult for director Shankar. This in spite of Ash working with him in one of her earlier films ’Jeans’ years ago.Sources say, "Endhiran, which stars Ash opposite Rajinikanth, has been forced to call off a shoot as Ash was busy shooting for Mani along with her hubby. S Shankar had scheduled a shooting stint at Kulu Manali, which was to start on November 14.

He wanted to shoot a few sequences with his leading stars in this valley but had to change his plans. While southern superstar, Rajini, was available, Ash was still holed up in Kochi shooting for Mani’s film."

The buzz is that the director has now decided to shift his shooting to Chennai, where he will shoot all the portions that just require Rajinikanth. He’s trying to quickly wrap up the sequences with the Southern superstar and then will have another schedule, where he hopes to finish the Ash- Rajini sequences.

Well, we can only say that working with a busy actress has its highs and lows!

Amitabh slept with gun under pillow after terror attacks

Condemning the terror strike in Mumbai as a "terrible situation", Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan said that for the first time in his life he slept with his loaded licensed revolver.

"As the events of the terrorist attack unfolded in front of me, I did something for the first time and one that I had hoped never ever to be in a situation to do. Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver, loaded it and put it under my pillow, for a very disturbed sleep," Amitabh wrote on his blog http://www.bigb.bigadda.com/.

The superstar said he was glued to the TV screen late on Wednesday night when security personnel battled the terrorists who killed 125 people and injured 327 across the city.

Sexy Mallika Sherawat invited to Kuala Lumpur film festival

Her career in Bollywood mightn’t look safe but Mallika Sherawat is not ready to give up in any way. In fact, she thinks she’s the queen when it comes to foreign film festivals especially after her ’show all’ Cannes appearance three years ago.

She mightn’t be a permanent fixture in Indian film festivals but it’s not been the same abroad. The buzz is that the actress has been invited as a VIP guest to the Kuala Lumpur film festival. There she’ll be walking down the red carpet with other celebrity guests and will also present some of the awards at the festival.

Well it’s a big thing for Mallika who’s not really such a permanent fixture in desi film festivals. The festival will reportedly be attended by quite a few major Asian and European filmmakers.

Ashish Chowdhry loses his sister & brother-in-law to terrorism

After two days of uncertainty actor Ashish Chowdhry’s worst fears have come true. His sister Monica and her husband are no more.

Not surprising, Ashish and his wife Shamita (who’s pregnant) remained unavailable for comment.

But good friend Celina Jaitley who’s in Rajasthan couldn’t get over the tragedy. "Almost everyone in that restaurant Tiffins at the Trident-Oberoi including his sister and brother-in-law was gunned down. It was the first venue of mayhem for the terrorists when they entered the Oberoi."

However, Ashish and his family remained hopeful. "One girl from his sister’s dinner group had run out and somehow fled from the attack out of the hotel. However, she was heavily sedated and Ashish couldn’t get any information from her and kept hoping against hope," says Celina.

Apparently, on Thursday Ashish ended up getting the wrong information from the Helpline services. Says Celina, "Poor Ashish. He rushed to the hospital, only to see it wasn’t his sister. His hopes were even more dashed as hours turned into days."

With the confirmation coming in a pall of gloom has descended on Ashish’s household. The actor’s mother has taken the only daughter’s death very badly. Says Celina, "I didn’t know Ashish’s sister that well. But I know that they all doted on her and her husband. What a terrible tragedy. Where will all this end?"

Exactly the question being asked by everyone.

Shahrukh dreams of a movie with Aamir

What is the perfect formula for success in Bollywood? Have Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan in the same frame. This may come true as King Khan has expressed his desire to work with the Perfectionist Khan in a movie. In a recent statement SRK said that he would like to star in a movie with Aamir in future as both of them are still young and well shaped bodies to play lead roles in the movie.

Shahrukh and Aamir have always claimed to have huge respect for each other in front of the camera but off it have had stiff competition. The two stars are always pitted against each other be it with their movies or endorsement. While Shahrukh endorses Nokia and Dish TV their competitors Samsung and Tata Sky have roped in Aamir to counter Shahrukh’s charisma.

It might be a double treat for Aamir as he will star with the other Khan, Salman in a sequel of their blockbuster Andaz Apna Apna. Shahid Kapoor packs up after bomb blasts

Following serial blasts, the film’s shoot was forced to end abruptly. Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay shoot had to be cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday night because of the serial blasts. The director says, "We were shooting a traffic jam scene for Kaminey at Horniman Circle, which is a couple of minutes away from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).We crossed CST at 9.45 pm and headed for the circle. While the men were putting up the lights, we heard firing and explosions close by. We decided to cancel the shoot immediately around 10.30 pm and head home."

According to Vishal, his leading actor Shahid Kapoor had reached the shoot by then. "Shahid left a little ahead of me.It was a war-like situation on the streets of Mumbai. As we reached Marine Drive there were lots of police vehicles with guns pointed at us. It was terrifying!" As Vishal and Shahid crossed Marine Drive and Girgaum Chowpatty they heard firing behind them. Vishal says, "I could feel something was going to happen at Marine Drive. Later, when I reached home, I heard a couple of terrorists got killed at Girgaum. Again we got saved..."

Vishal reached home around 2 am. "There were policemen with guns everywhere. It was scary! I have seen check- posts but not police aiming guns at all the cars. We have shot such scenes in films but watching it live is something else altogether. At one check naka, they stopped my car and started asking all sorts of questions.I had to take out my ID card and one of the police officers recognised me and let me go," Vishal shudders with relief. We had a unit of almost 300 people and 50 cars as it was a traffic jam sequence with lots of cars and everyone was packed off home. Fortunately, each and every unit member reached home safely. My wife Rekha was to join us on the shoot but had to cancel her plans. We are all lucky that we got saved.

Aishwarya Rai– busy with Raavan, Endiran in dismay

The third leg of shooting of Endhiran, which was scheduled to be held in Kulu Manali was cancelled as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is busy with Mani Rathnam’s Ravan. The Endhiran team, sans Aishwarya, left for Kulu a few days ago but were not able to film the song sequence as planned because the actress was caught up in Mani’s shooting in Kochi. The disappointed crew returned back to Chennai to can those scenes that does not require her. It is now believed that Shankar-Rajini and team will leave for Kulu when Ash completes her commitments with Mani Rathnam’s Ravan.

Bollywood actor's sister trapped in Mumbai's Oberoi Hotel

Mumbai, Among the many people who are awaiting the release of their family members from the clutches of the terrorists here is Bollywood actor Ashish Chaudhary, whose sister and brother-in-law are held hostage at the Oberoi Trident Hotel.

"My sister Monica and her husband have been inside the hotel along with maybe 40 other hostages. They came here for dinner last night, but now they are not answering any calls," he told a news channel Thursday.

"My parents have been here since last night and when we last heard from them, they told us that they have seen two terrorists and have heard a lot of gun shots. I didn't come at night fearing there will be panic, but since morning I have been standing here, waiting for them to be released," he added.

Mumbai saw an audacious terror attack where terrorists went on the rampage, killing at least 101 people and injuring over 250 since Wednesday night. On target were high profile landmarks, including the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, Metro Theatre and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) railway station.

Ashish, who was recently seen in the film "EMI", is worried since he is unable to get any information on his sister and her husband's well being. He added though the situation seems calm, "it must be tough inside".

Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan shoots ad at home

Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan is one of the busiest men of the Hindi film industry. He works 24/7 and hardly finds time to spend with wife and children. Most of the time he remains away from home in relation to work. Unable to being with family for longer, Shahrukh has found a new way to remain connected with family. He has decided to shoot commercial from his home Mannat only.

He has designed his building in such a manner that he can shoot commercials from terrace. The newly build building behind Mannat has been used by Shahrukh’s as his personal office, his gym where he works out, home for his security and staff is also made there. But the top two floors and the terrace are given out to companies to film their commercials.

In this manner, he managed to remain with family and simultaneously carry on with his work. His kids very often drop on the set and watch their dad shooting ad. Gauri also frequently visited Shahrukh while he is in work. SRK’s Mannat has also been used for commercials like Dish TV and Airtel.

Why Aishwarya Rai decided to drop out Dostana on her own?

Its said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to be there in Dostana but she decided to drop out on her own.

When asked she said that it was her decison drop out coz she felt that the film was actually based on the chemistry and the rapport that John and Abhishek share. Its not about her love story. She personally felt that if she would be in the film then the entire focus would be on her and Abhishek and the main story of the film would be sidelined.

The viewers would start expecting a love story between them and the fun space and chemistry between Abhishek, John would be neglected.

She also said that as the movie was supposed to be filmed back then and be her first release after marriage she did not want the viewers to start assuming things.They were seen together in Sarkar Raj but in a serious role but Dostana being a light and funfilled film she did not want to spoil the fun so she decided to walk out.

When asked about the kissing scene between John and Abhishek all she had to say was finally all that mattered was if the viewers enjoyed the film or not.

Bollywood’s latest action girl Deepika Padukone was spotted at the launch of MTV’s reality television show Roadies 6.0.Deepika, who is currently sporting a Chinese look, will be seen in an all new action girl avatar in the forthcoming Akshay Kumar starrer Chandni Chowk to China.

Akshay Kumar has struck gold by signing up hot Southern star Shriya Saran for his home-based project Komagatu Maru, directed by Deepa Mehta. “I’m on top of the world, as I ’m doing Deepa Mehta’s epic Komagata Maru,” says Shriya, “Deepaji is my favourite director and it is a great honour to do a film with her." Perfectionist Aamir Shoots in South Africa

Aamir Khan is famous all over India as ‘The Perfectionist’ (we’ve also heard stories of his perfection annoying some filmmakers) but with the kind of performances he comes up with - its appropriate to call him Robert Di Niro of India.

For his forthcoming film Ghajini, he managed to convince the film makers to for a quick trip to South Africa to finish shooting for a pending song.

A source tells us, “Aamir was shooting in South Africa a few months back for some important scenes and a duet number. But during the shooting of action scenes, Aamir encountered a leg injury and he had to rush back to India. The duet number which was to be shot on him and debutante Asin was left to be picturised. But then after Aamir got back in shape he expressed his wish to the makers that they should again go back to South Africa to shoot the pending duet. By then almost the entire shoot of the film was over. But since Aamir insisted the producers were left with no choice but take the crew to South Africa in a special chartered flight.”

“Aamir is known for his secrecy concerning plots of his films and his character but this time he made a limit by even keeping the shooting location of the film a secret for the crew members right till they reached South Africa. Everything was kept hush hush and even after shooting the song the crew members were told not to disclose anything.” the source adds.

“Ghajini’s director, AR Murugadoss was a bit hesitant initially as it would escalate the cost but Aamir convinced him that he wanted nothing but the best for the film and for that reason alone, the director had no choice but to relent.” concludes the source.
