For Parmeet’s film, she needed to be thin and well-toned. However, while shooting for Patiala House opposite Akshay Kumar, where she plays a Punjabi girl, she had to be a little full and heavy on the lower body.

Since Anushka nowhere resembled a Punjabi girl in that aspect, designer Jaimal Odedra decided to attach bum pads inside her salwars to make her derriere look heavier.”

However, designer Jaimal refuses to comment on this matter. It may sound funny but there was a report a few weeks back that Shahid Kapoor too has gone for padded bums to accentuate his hips.

Asin was recently in town to launch the 55th annual Filmfare Awards which take place on Feb 27nd. She talked about how much the awards meant to her. "I received my first encouragement, the Filmfare Award, for my first Telugu film; and last year, I received a similar applause for my first Hindi film - Ghajini - too," she said, "Naturally, the appreciation given to me by the Filmfare Awards is not only very valuable, it is very special too." Asin has won Filmfare awards in three different languages. This year, 111 movies will be competing in 37 categories.

Rakhi’s ‘bloody’ challenge to the censors

The Censor Board has blown the daylights out of Rakhi and ishQ, with a diktat that they need to delete or bleep out the word ‘kamine’ from the mukhda (opening verse) of their video ‘Bhoot’ from the music album ‘Jhagde’ done in association with India’s mad-max music import from Canada ishQ Bector, The words of the song go “Kamine tera bhoot chad gaya re” is in question and the censor wants the word ‘Kaminey’ to be either deleted or beeped.

But Rakhi’s already singing a new tune, “This is cruelty. The Censor Board needs brain surgery,’ she shoots, and in her trademark style, breaks into a ‘modified’ song, “Censor Board tera bhoot chad gaya re.”

While Rakhi is taking a straight dig at the Board, ishQ, who has written the lyrics, apart from singing and composing the album, is furious too. “The word ‘kamine’ has been passed so many times in umpteen films earlier. What’s the point of banning it now,” he justifies.

Abhishek Bachchan's film, ‘Crooked' was supposed to star his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But she was out of the film before Abhishek started shooting for it on January 14 due to date issues. However, he isn't upset at all.

According to sources, Abhishek and Ash wanted to work together again but not as a pair. They weren't playing a couple in ‘Crooked'; on the contrary, Ash was to play his enemy. His romantic interest in the film is former Miss India and VJ Sarah Jane Dias.

Sonya was chosen for her fair skin and light eyes. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed her part in the film. However, he won't reveal her role. He also wants to change the title as ‘Crooked' is only their work title and he doesn't want it to stick.

Maharashtra government slapped cases against 14 members of the film's crew on the charge of trespassing on forest property. According to forest official, it is illegal to enter the forest locality without permission and added.

"They have been charged with illegally entering forest property and undertaking land levelling work to facilitate the film's shoot." The film compensated for the loss, he added, "After the cases were filed.

The film crew applied for permission for the shoot and even deposited Rs 2.5 lakh." Though Ash it is not entirely your fault for landing into such dilemma but be careful you are now a bahu of Big B'.

The actor was recently heard mouthing a lengthy monologue at 2 am in the morning. So fervently was he rehearsing that some portions of the dialogue (which said “mujhe mukti de de”) were audible on the road even though the balcony is at the 8th floor.

The Boys’ girl Genelia D’Souza is upset with rumours of her wedding with actor Riteish Deshmukh. A Mumbai tabloid had reported the romance between Genelia and Riteish that developed on the sets of “Tujhe Meri Kasam” six years ago is concluding in marriage this year.

But the Santhosh Subramaniam actress says she isn’t getting married to anyone for the time being.

“To set the record straight, I am not getting married to anyone. I have always maintained that my personal life is not something I would like to discuss. But this time since it was something that would affect my family, I decided to take a stand,” said Genelia in a statement released on Tuesday.

My films and my brands are my priority as of now and I’d like to keep it that way. And if I do decide to settle down, you will hear it from me when as and when it happens,” says the actress.

Genelia is right now looking forward to the release of “Chance Pe Dance” in which she is paired with Shahid Kapoor. The film releases on January 15.

It’s my first biographical role and a big challenge. I’ll be meeting Sabrina shortly.”

As the name suggests, the movie is based on the murder of Jessica Lal in 1999 which exposed the nepotism, inequality and corruption prevalent in Indian society.

 

Shahid as the new ambassador for Levi’s

Shahid Kapoor is the new face of Levi’s fitting Signature jeans. As Shahid replaces, Deepika Padukone whose contract with Levi’s got over last year in December, this becomes Shahid’s biggest ever endorsement deal. This time, the brand was on the lookout for a male ambassador. However, Akshay Kumar is still the Levi’s 501 ambassador.

With this, Shahid becomes the second male ambassador of Levi’s after Akshay Kumar who is still the Levi’s 501 ambassador. Other female actresses who have represented the brand include Sushmita Sen and Kangana Ranaut.
