Love’s labour’s lost. Koena Mitra has broken up with her Turkish beau Mett Meral. The honeymoon period of their relationship is over and the couple felt that the relationship isn’t going anywhere.
As a tabloid reports, the main problem between the two turned out to be the distance. For Mett, who is a pilot, it’s easier to travel to India, but that wasn’t the case with Koena. The actress generally is tied up with her work commitments. Moreover, Mett is a bit possessive and wasn’t able to stand male attention her lovely girlfriend used to get.
When in love, the sexy actress had said, “Today, I know I am sure I want to be with Mett so there’s nothing to hide...” But unfortunately she had to take this hard decision to split.
Her friends further reveal that most of the time they fought over trivial issues. In fact, when Mett came to India in January to celebrate Koena’s birthday, the situation was not so romantic and Koena felt that they aren’t growing in their relationship.
Koena’s publicist has confirmed the split and is quoted as saying, “Yes Koena and Mett have broken up. She is single today.”
They will continue as friends.
